John 11: 25 “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.”
I recently preached the greatest message of my life. It was an extremely deep theological discourse designed to ignite the mortal man. It wasn’t something that was new to most but it was something that can only be heard by the spirit.
The resurrection of Christ is the most powerful message ever to be preached. It supersedes any other message while preceding and complimenting the proclamation of Christ’s imminent return. This power was noticed by many living in that time. There are actually testimonies of people seeing their deceased relatives walking about in the streets. The power that raised Jesus also raised many others that day!
This power is witnessed by many living today through the quickening that occurs when an individual surrender their life to Jesus. He immediately comes in and changes the spirit. He continues daily to restructure our hearts by the renewing of our minds. We can be confidant of this fact: Our Lord will not leave us as He found us! He will complete the work He started. He views you as the person He created you to be. Doesn’t that make you want to shout?!
In the times we live in we are not to be ignorant. We have a warning by which we can discern our hour. Jesus told us what to expect in the last days. 2 Timothy 3: 1-5 “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”
This is not a warning of terror (although it is filled with it) this is a message of good news that Jesus is coming soon and He empowered us to be able to stay sweet in the process! We can speak in love and caring to a world that is overrun with greed and lustful pursuits.
Allow this wonderful Presence of resurrection power to work in fullness in your life today.
